I like to draw from textures and patterns that I see in the natural world and architecture and infuse them with a sense of mystery and spirituality putting my “Soul Print” on them. Recently I have been drifting even further into the ethers of my imagination which leaves me completely unfettered to create in a limitless environment. The departure from a more rigid and traditional photographic discipline is more in keeping with my personality. My photographs become partners with me and the Divine on a journey to Mystery and Beauty. I remember hearing the great master of landscapes, Ansel Adams said that he considered his negatives as the raw material for his work…and the real creativity took place for him in the darkroom. As I am sure he did, I enjoy my time in the field with my camera, but it is when I am playing in my digital darkroom that real creativity unfolds within me. Each image is an exploration and journey that begins with play and a destination unknown. I never know where the creative process will take me…. I never have a plan for where I am going…. I just let the creative and intuitive process unfold. It is truly exciting when I sense this magic happening. I intuitively know when a piece is done. It is a wonderful and magical process… intoxicating, yet never controlled….
