Way
I like to draw from textures and patterns that I see in the natural world and architecture and infuse them with a sense of mystery and spirituality putting my “Soul Print” on them. Recently I have been drifting even further into the ethers of my imagination which leaves me completely unfettered to create in a limitless environment. The departure from a more rigid and traditional photographic discipline is more in keeping with my personality. My photographs become partners with me and the Divine on a journey to Mystery and Beauty. I remember hearing the great master of landscapes, Ansel Adams say that he considered his negatives the raw material for his work…and the real creativity took place for him in the darkroom. As I am sure he did, I enjoy my time in the field with my camera, but it is when I am playing in my digital darkroom that real mystery unfolds within me. Each image is a journey that begins with my “Artist’s Prayer”. I never know where the Divine and I will wander….I just let the creative and intuitive journey unfold.
